Every automobile manufacturer's main goal is to ensure the maximum safety to gain the customer's trust in the product. So, they give first preference for safety aspects to increase their brand value. To achieve safety, automobile manufacturers mainly focus on their system design and construction to meet the road safety regulations followed by the respective countries. There are mainly two types of safety systems are available, one is an active safety system and the other one is a passive safety system.
Active Safety System
Simply saying, the active safety system is a technology that assists in the prevention of crash. The active safety feature provides proper control for the dynamics of a vehicle by good steering and braking system. It reduces the chances of accidents and collision before the occurrence. It is also called as "Primary Safety System". The vehicle manufacturer's build a car with an active safety system through superior design. They concentrate more on aspects such as ergonomics, road holding, visibility, comfort, and handling.The active safety system's function can be activated manually by the driver or automatically by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Sometimes, they are part of the mechanical design of the vehicle itself.

The passive safety system helps to minimize the damage of the vehicle and protect the passengers from the injury when an accident occurs. These systems activate during or after the accident occurrence and help to mitigate the consequences of accidents to protect passengers and pedestrians.
